American Girl Doll Addy Review....

I know a lot of HB members have Addy dolls. But does any one want to give me a review of the Addy doll?

I just know I'm going to get Addy next so some thoughts on her would be great!

And I'm going to get her accessories so I would also like a review of that! Thank you!!!! [img]smile.gif[/img]

I just got Addy this week and she is everything I hoped for and more. My sister has her and I've always liked her. I just couldn't resist all the Addy's on the board and had to have my own. Her hair is really fun and of course I love her stories. I don't have much of her collection yet but I'm looking forward to adding on.

First thing you need to know: she's much prettier in person!! The older ones have a more rosy complexion which I find more attractive but the newer ones have better hair. I have only seen 2 Addy's, though so my opinion is based on them. My older Addy had not been taken care of very well and her hair was beyond repair so she was rewigged. Addy's hair is NOT supposed to be fried and frizzy and break off at the touch. She has the best hair of all the dolls. Some of the mattel Addy's have a grayish skintone. My Alice (Addy) is beautiful! Her hair is very long, very thick, and slightly spongy in texture. I have found that it's a little bit difficult to work with, but I am pretty inept at hairdos to begin with so that's not saying a whole lot.

She looks gorgeous in every color!!

I adore my Addy! She has the prettiest eyes and her hair is a dream! And I agree she looks great in everything!

My daughter had a PM Addy and I have a newer Addy. We both prefer mine. Also if you get Addy, I would suggest you get her striped dress and her work dress. They are both lovely and look great on her.

Addy is definately one of the prettiest AGs. Last spring's Mattel issue Addy was kind of grayish and skinny and her hair is too thing. If you want an Addy, I highly recommend a West German Addy. Her hair is more authentically textured and fuller and fun to play with. Her clothes are pretty and detailed!

I just received my PM Addy this week, and she is absolutely gorgeous. I have a problem with her hair though, it's thin and knotty, so I am going to rewig her. I don't want to send her to AGH because she is a PM!
